Norman Fischer will be in the Twin Cities Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13. The visit began as an invitation from our friends at Compassionate Ocean Dharma Center and has evolved into a collaboration with them and two other local centers. These four centers participating are: Compassionate Ocean, Dharma Field, Minnesota Zen Center and Clouds in Water Zen Center.

NORMAN FISCHER is one of the most well-known Zen teachers in the country as well as a published poet and former abbot of the San Francisco Zen Center, the oldest and largest Zen Center in the West. He gives frequent talks on creativity and interfaith issues, as well as on conflictresolution and meditation.

He is also the founder and spiritual director of the Everyday Zen Foundation, an organization dedicated to adapting Zen Buddhist teachings to Western culture.
